The C-17 was a tight squeeze. It was literally fully booked with every seat taken. Luggage was in the aisles and moving around was a lot of fun.
Can you believe after all that traveling that guy is alert enough to read a book!!!
After staying in Kuwait for two days, I finally get a C-17 to fly to Bagram, Afghanistan.
Don’t have to go through a metal detector to get on this plane :)

Landed at Qatar for a few hours, because Turkey wouldn't let us fly direct to Kuwait. We flew over Kuwait and landed at Qatar for a little less than two hours, then flew back to Kuwait.
It is a beautiful tent that has been there for years. You can't make it out to well but people have been writing their name on the inside of the tent wall everywhere for the last six or seven years. At least it was air conditioned and had bottled water and wifi. Everyone is getting a little tired. Now on to Kuwait.

The beginning of the long trek to Afghanistan
The line at BWI Airport for the military terminal. It took approx 3 hours to get to the front and then our flight was delayed for 3 days, so we had to head to a hotel and take our weapon to the Maryland State Police HQ...not fun after traveling all day already.
