We had the opportunity today to go with the Australians to Tarnak Farm, (do a search on the internet for more info on the location) which was Osama Bin Laden's largest terrorist camp. It was interesting to be able to go back to where this all began and walk on the destroyed camp. I did take a few pictures for you to see.
This tour reminds me of walking through Pompeii, since there is essentially a city with no people. We definitely destroyed it well.
This is the small place the ANP are working out of...it's a good vantage point...you can see for miles.
We brought them fruit, water, gatorade, and cots. They were very happy with the things we brought.
This wall is nearly ready to collapse. It is bowed out pretty well...hopefully the rebar will hold it together.
If you've seen the monkey bars in the Osama Bin Laden videos from a long time ago, this is the site of the training they did in their video. The four small little stumps of metal tubing sticking up out of the ground off to the right in the picture are where they were located.
Here's one of the Canadian Air Force guys standing in bomb crater...it was about 8-10 feet deep.
I asked the ANP where Osama used to live and they said it was in the spot below. There were two deep craters where he used to live.
We asked if there were any painted walls and the ANP took us to these. Interesting to see what they thought about.
Our final group photo for the day...it was a great day. So nice to be able to stand where it all started...I feel like it closed out a piece of the puzzle coming here today.
Here was the beautiful sunset to top of a great day!

Take care! Be safe! Maybe you'll get to the bazaar today? Thank you for everything you do.
